How does the TQUK Level 3 Diploma in Business and Administration (RQF) course work?

There are no formal entry requirements for this course, however, candidates enrolling on to this course must be a minimum age of 16. It’s recommended that candidates are working at a minimum of Level 2 in Numeracy and Literacy.
As this qualification is based online, this course is recommended for candidates who possess a basic level of IT understanding to complete the course efficiently.
There is no requirement for learners to hold a GCSE Grades at Grade A* - C or equivalent in English and Mathematics prior to enrolling in this course, however, candidates should be mindful that it may be required as part of their job role or industry.
Although it is recommended, it is not essential for candidates to be in full time, or part time employment to complete this course, however, candidates must have access to a suitable workplace to be able to meet the work experience requirements.

Unit 2. Manage personal and professional development - T/506/2952
- Be able to identify personal and professional development requirements
- Be able to fulfil a personal and professional development plan
- Be able to maintain the relevance of a personal and professional development plan
Unit 3. Principles of business communication and information - R/506/1940
- Understand negotiation in a business environment
- Understand how to develop and deliver presentations
- Understand how to create bespoke business documents
- Understand information systems in a business environment
Unit 4. Principles of administration - Y/506/1941
- Understand how to manage an office facility
- Understand health and safety in a business environment
- Understand how to take minutes of meetings
- Understand how to chair, lead and manage meetings
- Understand how to supervise an administration team
- Understand how to organise events
Unit 5. Principles of business - D/506/1942
- Understand business markets
- Understand business innovation and growth
- Understand financial management
- Understand business budgeting
- Understand sales and marketing
You will need to achieve a minimum of 58 credits: 27 credits from the Mandatory Group; a minimum of 13 credits from Optional Units Group A; a maximum of 10 credits from Optional Units Group B and a maximum of 8 credits from Optional Units Group C. A minimum of 40 credits must be achieved at level 3 or above.

This qualification requires an assessment of both competence and knowledge. Throughout the TQUK Level 3 Diploma in Business and Administration (RQF) course, you will be assessed through a variety of methods:
- Written assignments and coursework
- Having a manager or colleague complete a witness testimony of tasks completed in a workplace
- Direct observations of you carrying out work-related tasks
- Professional discussions over the phone
- Supplying us with work product evidence.
This qualification is a generic business qualification, which will leave you with a variety of roles to explore. Some roles include:
