3 Reasons to Work in Early Years Childcare

Working with children is often looked at by many as terrifying. It is an unpredictable experience not only in terms of work, but emotionally as well . It is quite common to think that one must have a child in order to understand working with children. And I actually disagree. Working with children is one of the most rewarding careers out there. And that's according to many people who work in the child care industry. One does not need to be a parent to understand a child, although parental love is incomparable. In this article, we will look at 3 reasons to choose a career in childcare. And just so you know, the industry works children between ages of just a few months to 5 years:

1. Intrinsic Return of Fun and Joy

It is no secret to say that children are naturally a joyful addition to the world. Their inquisitive and playful nature can help bring out the child in you. Working with young children therefore brings a smile to an emotionless face. Further to their unmatchable energy, children have a sense of intuition which many adults lose as we grow older. So due to this intuition, attuning with the little ones during working hours will make it will less like work. Emotional connection is inevitable in the industry. While this may sound scary, the intrinsic return, as a result of joyful interactions is simply wonderful. Being a childcare worker with younglings, you contribute to society by developing these small human beings into influential characters of humanity during their years to come.

2. Reliable Industry with Guaranteed Steady Income

With unstable industries floating around unable to guarantee reliable sources of finance for their employees, childcare is supported by a solid framework. As a result of copious amounts of private and government support, individuals holding qualifications in childcare (e.g. Level 3 Early Years Practitioner) are ensured of a lifetime of available work. Since there will always be children to care,  studying childcare related qualifications is certainly a safe choice. Alongside with a generally high reliability factor, working in childcare can be incredibly flexible. And this depends on the type of employment an individual seeks. Should you be looking to work mornings or evenings, there are plenty of opportunities within private childcare. But in order to build up a reputable profile within private childcare, you do of course need some experience. And that's gained by working  with young children in a controlled environment.

3. Valuable Knowledge and Life Experience

As human beings, most of us have ambitions of having a family one day. And this usually involves shaping our lives around children. Following years of work in childcare, many say they have attained life lessons which will last an eternity. The beauty of childcare as an industry doesn't have fakery, fraud or lack of truth. It is about learning to work with truth, integrity and meaning. Looking at the nature of jobs within childcare, values as such are a treasure to work with on a daily basis, reminding us of basic necessities to a truthful life. As mentioned at the start of the article, you do not need to be a mother to take care of a young child, but you do need to have an understanding of these essential values in order to have a positive influence on young people. All in all, working with children has many rewards not only in the form of financial security, but emotionally. Many go by looking for a line of work to find the perfect balance of joy and steady finances. But then again,  the answer is right ahead of us all. With young age childcare offering great pathways of career progression at a later stage in terms of private or government funded sectors, there are brilliant opportunities to develop as a professional. Increasing amounts of agents are covering major cities worldwide, offering international childcare opportunities for experience childminders, nannies and various professionals in the field. Opportunities as such open up a fresh approach to childcare by introducing luxurious perks such as worldwide travel alongside all other positives of working with kids. Featured image: Pexels
